BEER OF THE MONTH

  • A kind of IPA with kind of a lot of hops in it. We find it delicious.

From Finback Brewery, in Brooklyn NY.

It’s a well balanced and meticulously crafted double dry hopped IPA featuring Nelson Sauvin and Citra hops.

Dense and fruity hiding its bitterness & alcohol behind pillowy layers of decadent haze. It has a kind of central weight made up of sticky citrus & melon. Shimmering wisps of white grape and fresh aloe add detail toa beer that’s creamy and ultra long on the palate but finishes oh so dry.

    A delight to drink.

Wine OF THE MONTH

  • Everybody has been losing their mind for light reds lately, so here’s a little something you can really impress the others with.

This one is from the Broderick Brothers. Situated in the Adelaide Hills, these guys have been making wine for some time now and their home in the Basket Range is one of the steeper slopes of the region. They farm organically. We love their wines.

Lately these brothers have been stepping it up and getting serious – making refined and elegant tributes to some of the classics of the wine world.

This Pinot Noir comes from fruit hand grown at their property perched high up on the hill – where it is a little cooler. The fruit retains its phenolic ripeness but shows off gorgeous fresh acidity.

Delicate, but deeply detailed it’s a wine that nods sincerely to the traditionalists but has something new for you to get excited about.

Spirit OF THE MONTH

  • Gins that are made for the moment. At the moment, it’s gin for these hot summer afternoons.

Threefold produces unique and unusual gins out of Glenelg East, in South Australia. Led by Aidan, Luke and Steve, three bartenders who mixed experience with passion to come up with something distinct.

Their Tom Yummy Gin channels the bold flavours of South East Asia with lemongrass, ginger and makrut lime. Perfectly balanced on the palate by wisps of sweetness and restrained use of juniper. Make no mistake, it’s a vibrant and lively spirit to imbibe in.

Perhaps with some in a Tom Collins, maybe with some freshly cut lime, definitely with some friends.
